Reflections on one-year study at Australian National University (ANU) as a CSC visiting student

Abstract

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. Sicheng Chen was sponsored by CSC to perform one-year research work in the research school of physics and engineering, Australian National University. During his stay, he has worked together with Dr. Fouad Karouta on the DBR reflector regulations. In this presentation, he will give a brief introduction about his research work in ANU.

Bio Sketch of Mr. Sicheng Chen

Sicheng Chen is a Ph.D. student in Professor Hua Xu’s group in the School of mechanical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China. He was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to conduct one-year research as a visiting Ph.D. student during Aug 2018 to Aug 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Fouad Karouta in RSPE of ANU. His research focuses on the the DBR reflector regulations.
